These Silver Age tales, written by Gardner Fox with art by Mike Sekowsky and others, feature the team facing threats like Starro, the Royal Flush Gang, and the villainous Key, as well as a classic team-up with the Justice Society of America.
In "Time Signs a Death-Warrant for the Justice League!", the League finds itself trapped in a deadly game when the Key manipulates a trophy in their collection, forcing them to turn on one another within the hour. With time running out and trust unraveling, the heroes must uncover the truth behind the trap before the clock strikes zero.
In "The Stormy Return of the Red Tornado!", a mysterious new Red Tornado arrives at a Justice Society meeting claiming to be the original hero, but his sudden appearance throws the team into confusion—especially since they remember Ma Hunkel, the real Red Tornado, who vanished just as abruptly decades ago. As the JSA faces off against criminals, the new Tornado repeatedly intervenes, causing their victories to end in apparent deaths, leaving the heroes powerless and questioning his true intentions. When the truth about T.O. Morrow’s manipulation begins to surface, he seeks help from the Justice League on Earth-One to uncover the truth behind his stormy return.
In "T. O. Morrow Kills the Justice League -- Today!", the brilliant but ruthless T. O. Morrow unleashes a terrifying plan that sees him conquer both the Justice League on Earth-One and the Justice Society on Earth-Two. With his supercomputer poised to shatter the barriers between universes, he threatens to erase both Earths in a wave of cosmic annihilation. As Red Tornado awakens the League’s scattered members, they must rally to stop Morrow’s apocalyptic scheme—before the multiverse collapses.
In "Divided--They Fall!", Generalissimo Demmy Gog of the tiny nation of Offalia arrives in the United States wielding a stolen device capable of undermining the morale of even the mightiest heroes. As the Justice League faces a threat that strikes at their unity from within, they must confront not just an enemy with a dangerous weapon, but the fragile bonds that hold them together.
In "A Matter of Menace!", the Justice League of America finds itself fractured when the Headmaster orchestrates a sinister plot that pins the murder of the Tattooed Man on Green Arrow. With Wonder Woman stepping away from the League to live without her Amazon powers, the remaining heroes must navigate suspicion and deception while uncovering the truth behind a scheme that threatens to unravel their unity.
In "Versus the Creeper!", the Justice League finds itself divided as they investigate the enigmatic Creeper, unsure whether he's friend or foe. Meanwhile, the insecure teen hero Mind-Grabber Kid, fueled by jealousy over the League’s fame, unwittingly arms an alien invasion by revealing their perceived tyranny—setting the stage for chaos.
