Love Diary #28
In "Wake Up and Love!", Mary, a quiet office worker burdened by caring for her sick mother, struggles to connect with her coworkers—especially Kevin, who’s drawn to her. After her mother’s passing, her aunt Belle pushes her to open up, but Mary feels out of place at social gatherings. At the annual dinner, a moment of doubt nearly sends her fleeing, but Kevin’s quiet support gives her the courage to speak her truth. The story, illustrated with tender detail by Syd Shores, captures a quiet turning point in Mary’s life, where vulnerability leads to connection.

She does, Kevin kisses her, and everything is all right from that point onward.
