Joyce has little self-control and is easily misled. She and photographer Walter fall in love, and he submits a photo of her to a contest. Hollywood photographer Gene urges them both to move to Hollywood; Walter is dubious but Joyce convinces him to agree. However, Walter becomes disillusioned and leaves; Joyce is forced to become a waitress to live. When she goes home, Joyce discovers Walter has married someone else. Joyce wishes them well and departs for an uncertain future.
