“Inferno Part 1 of 3”

In "Inferno Part 1 of 3," Lucifer finds himself ambushed in Effrul as he prepares for his duel with Amenadiel—assassins sent by Lord Arux, secretly allied with Amenadiel and Remiel, stand in his way. With Mazikeen on the trail of Susano-O-No–Mikoto, who carries two feathers holding Lucifer’s power, the chase leads them to a clockwork castle ruled by Scoria the Artificer, who claims to be Mazikeen’s long-lost husband. Written by Mike Carey and illustrated by Peter Gross, with inks by Ryan Kelly, colors by Daniel Vozzo, and letters by Comicraft, the issue’s cover by Christopher Moeller captures the escalating tension.
