When Merton tries to take his date Marcia out, his parents' busy schedules interfere; his father instructs him to take Marcia to the Tunnel of Love at the amusement park, but the evening is repeatedly interrupted by work emergencies. In a second story, Merton and his friends attempt to create a getaway car out of a car and wagon, only to have their plan foiled when they're spotted by adults, culminating in a chaotic chase sequence.
