My Own Romance #30
In "Linda Nelson Finds Romance," a 1953 gem from My Own Romance, Jay Scott Pike handles both art and inks for a story that explores the pressures of perfection in a world where winning defines worth. Linda Nelson, raised by her famed athlete father Ben to never accept defeat, puts her competitive edge to the test at college—only to find that true connection might mean letting go of the win. Cover by Al Hartley captures the emotional tension of a young woman learning that strength isn’t just in victory, but in vulnerability.
