In "Saucer-itis," a man's strange behavior—muttering about flying saucers and acting oddly—has everyone convinced he's insane. But as his antics grow more elaborate, it becomes clear he's not just eccentric—he's hiding something far stranger than anyone imagined.
In "The Strange One," a lone man washes ashore on an isolated island only to stumble upon the ruins of a forgotten futuristic city. As he flees from unseen voices echoing through the silent streets, he realizes too late that the city’s inhabitants are not gone—they’re simply invisible.

Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds launched in August 1956 as a Charlton Comics anthology of science fiction and fantasy tales with twist endings, produced under the low-budget but editorially permissive conditions Charlton was known for. Scripts throughout the run were largely the work of Joe Gill, the astonishingly prolific staff writer who was generating hundreds of scripts a year for the company during this period, though records are fragmentary and individual story attributions carry uncertainty. Ditko worked on the title from 1957 through 1961, a span during which — as the Fantagraphics Ditko Archives notes — Charlton's practice of buying and shelving material meant published dates did not always correspond to when the work was actually drawn. Issue #10's contributing artists alongside Ditko included Bill Molno and Sal Trapani.
