This is an anthology issue containing at least two science fiction stories. The first story features a primitive man who discovers a mysterious long-armed creature and learns to fashion it into a tool by placing a stone in its loop, discovering its remarkable strength and throwing distance. The second story, titled "The Subject," involves a man named Gerard who is summoned to a mysterious gathering where a woman named Martha and others attempt to convince him he is a fake or imposter, while a sinister masked figure watches from the shadows. A third story depicts a boy who encounters a green-skinned alien being that has crash-landed near his home; the alien desperately needs water and fuel (radiator fluid) to repair its spacecraft before departing Earth.

Oggo the Thinker
5 pp · Science Fiction

Oggo's people value hunting and warfare, but this unusual young man would rather tinker and invent—until his father dismisses his tinkering as useless. When Oggo discovers he can fashion a simple weapon that harnesses force and distance in ways no hunter can match, his father's respect begins to shift, yet Oggo himself becomes troubled by what his genius might be used for. As he turns his mind toward creation rather than destruction, he stumbles upon a discovery that could transform civilization itself—but fate has other plans.

The Mountain That Was

Two mountaineers scaling Mt. Everest encounter mysterious tracks in the snow—until a gunshot triggers an avalanche that reveals something impossible: an alien spacecraft from the planet Critos, camouflaged beneath the mountain for four thousand years. The extraterrestrial visitors give Hanson and Lewis a stark choice: abandon the peak at once, or remain as the aliens prepare to finally depart Earth.

The Subject
3 pp · Fantasy

A skeptic named Gerard dismisses Valjar's claims of hypnotic time travel as pure fakery—until his friend John volunteers to be a subject and is transported back to the days of King Arthur. When John returns from his adventure as a knight battling a black knight, a very real wound appears on his arm, forcing Gerard to reconsider everything he thought he knew about the impossible.

The Strange Return
2 pp · Fantasy

Daniel Rashid fulfills his lifelong dream of excavating an ancient Persian palace site—his ancestral homeland—when he stumbles upon a hidden passage and discovers the legendary treasure chamber of King Darius. As the professor examines the riches, Daniel makes an uncanny discovery that transforms the expedition into something far more personal than either of them expected. A haunting tale of bloodlines and forgotten lives that span millennia.

A Little Green Man Is Here
5 pp · Science Fiction

Bruce Caswell, a harried science-fiction writer, dismisses his young son Tommy's pleas for attention—until the boy discovers a small green visitor in need of water near his makeshift lake.
