Roger coerces Audrey into helping him win the affections of a woman named June Hopewell by threatening to reveal that June's brother Frank and Roger's brother are identical twins born minutes apart, allowing Roger to claim June will only find happiness if she marries him. The scheme hinges on astrological charts and the manipulation of the victim's desperation as death approaches. The issue also advertises companion titles including "Adventures Into the Unknown" and "Forbidden Worlds," along with various mail-order promotions for rings and other merchandise.
In "Drum of Doom," Annette and Fred journey to Haiti to study a traditional dance for Annette’s stage act, drawn in by its mystique. When they offer money for the sacred drum used in the ritual, the old witch doctor warns them to leave, but his son secretly brings it to them—setting off a chilling chain of events. As Annette begins to dance on the drum, the ground trembles and the dead stir, rising from their graves toward the sound.
