The City has been transformed by Sagin into a medieval Japanese stronghold and Paul has only his mother's broom to hold back the hordes. Paul and the Tick meet up with Vernon and Crime Cannibal and Man-Eating Cow just in time for Sagin's super powered trio of baddies to attack. But Man-Eating Cow takes a big dislike to Paul and starts fighting with him. Paul is captured. Tick and company disguise themselves in the latest (or oldest, really) Japanese finery in order to invade Sagin's stronghold. Paul has already been brainwashed by his half-brother and his primary mission--to kill the Tick.
