About this Collection

This second volume in DC's Showcase Presents series collects Teen Titans stories from the late 1960s and early 1970s, featuring the original team of Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy, and Aqualad. Presented in black-and-white on low-cost paper, the volume includes issues #18-30 of the original Teen Titans series, along with appearances from The Brave and the Bold and other titles, showcasing the team's transition into more socially conscious storylines under writer Bob Haney and artist Nick Cardy.

"Stepping Stones for a Giant Killer!" marks a pivotal moment in the Teen Titans' story, spotlighting Lance Bruner as Bruce Wayne’s new ward following a promise made by Bruce’s father. With Dick and the Titans trying to guide him, Lance’s resistance and growing suspicion of Bruce and Dick’s secret identities set the stage for tension and unexpected alliances. Written by Bob Haney and brought to life with dynamic art by Neal Adams, the issue’s cover by Nick Cardy captures the intrigue of a young man caught between two worlds.
