Uncle Pigly inspects a small car with Foxo, praising its engine despite its unimpressive looks. After a satisfying test run, he buys it, leaving Foxo to meow in surprise as the transaction ends.
Tommy Turtle rallies the forest animals to elect a mayor, and when no one volunteers, he’s voted in by default—much to his surprise. He immediately sets about his duties, appointing Barney Bear as his police force and tasking him and another bear with building a city hall, leading to a series of comically chaotic construction attempts.
Wally Wolf challenges Goofy Duck to a duel after being accused of being a phony, only to have Goofy choose grassberry pies as the weapons. As the two face off at ten paces, the duel ends in a splat — but the winner isn’t who you’d expect.
Sniffy the Pup finds himself alone and starving after his family leaves a note saying they’ve gone to visit Aunt Tillie, leaving food in front of the dog house—only to discover it’s been stolen. Determined to eat, he tries everything from begging at Joe’s Diner to applying for a job at Wimble’s Department Store, only to accidentally end up in the pet food window, where his hunger leads to a surprising turn of events.
