“Prologue, Part One: The Future Is Prologue”

"Prologue, Part One: The Future Is Prologue" kicks off Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton #1 with high-stakes urgency, as Supergirl and Mon-El battle Brainiac’s relentless probe bots across the streets of New Krypton. Written by Sterling Gates and illustrated by Jamal Igle, with inks by Marc Deering and Jon Sibal, this pivotal issue sets the stage for a fractured alliance when Superboy and the Legion are held under guard—only for Mon-El to be called to action after connecting with Tellus. The tension escalates when Supergirl races to rescue her mother Alura, only to find her in Superboy’s custody, leading to a tense confrontation that reshapes the mission ahead. The cover by Andy Kubert captures the chaos in bold, dynamic strokes.

While Supergirl and Mon-El fight Brainiac's probe bots on the streets of New Krypton, Superboy and the Legion fight to escape custody. When Tellus connects with Mon-El and apprises him of the situation, Mon heads off to help Superman, while Supergirl stays behind. When Supergirl hears her mother in distress, she speeds over to find Alura in the clutches of Superboy. But once she has dispatched Superboy and convinced her mother that he and the Legionnaires are not terrorists, Alura sends them all off to the fight with Brainiac.
