“The Gangsters and the Giant!”

In *Tales to Astonish* #63, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko deliver a pulse-pounding tale titled "The Gangsters and the Giant!" as the mysterious Leader manipulates events from the shadows, sending his towering Humanoid to clash with the Hulk. With Bruce Banner under suspicion and forced to escort a dangerous nuclear device under watchful eyes, chaos erupts when the giant attacks the train—leaving Banner stranded in torn pants and falsely accused. Jack Kirby’s dynamic cover, inked by Chic Stone, captures the intensity of the moment, while the story unfolds with sharp tension and classic 1965 Marvel flair.

The Leader ponders his origins as he prepares to send his powerful Humanoid to confront the Hulk. Although he is under suspicion for being in collusion with the Hulk, Banner is sent by train to escort one of his nuclear devices with Talbot keeping a close eye on him. The Humanoid attacks the train and Hulk fights the creature off. The nuclear device falls off the train in the skirmish and when Talbot goes to retrieve it, he finds Banner next to it in nothing but a pair of ripped pants. Bruce is jailed as a traitor.
