"The Weird Idol" depicts a jungle adventure in which a demon in female form rules a jungle civilization and demands sacrifice from those who threaten her power. A man named Tim and his wife Rulah become entangled in the demon's schemes; after Rulah defeats panthers and gains favor, the demon attempts to turn them against each other through manipulation and combat challenges. When a fire breaks out aboard a nearby ship and Rulah helps rescue survivors, the demon's control weakens, and a man named Iron Hand arrives offering friendship and alliance to overthrow the demon's rule, though Rulah remains conflicted about abandoning George Mosby, the ship's captain whose wife she has pledged to protect.
