“For the Throne of Zamboula”

In "For the Throne of Zamboula," Conan finds himself trapped in a web of sorcery and betrayal after being captured and tortured by the treacherous wizard Zafra—only for Zafra to die by his own cursed blade. Freed by Conan, the noble Isparana becomes entangled in a violent uprising as rebel leader Balad attempts to overthrow the tyrannical Akter Khan, only to fall victim to Zafra’s lingering curse. With the fate of Zamboula hanging in the balance, Conan and Isparana push the rebels toward a new ruler—Akter’s son Jungir. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with fierce detail by John Buscema, inks by Tony DeZuniga, and lettered by Joe Rosen, this issue features a cover by Joe Chiodo.
