The Three Stooges #22
In the dusty frontier town of Casper Wyoming, Rance Roden’s ruthless campaign to destroy the buffalo herds and provoke the Indians threatens to ignite a full-blown conflict. Back East, the Three Stooges—ever the bumbling but well-meaning assistants to Mr. Cabot of the Society for the Protection of American Wildlife—rally to the cause, journeying west to defend the dwindling herds. With help from Annie Oakley, Curly Joe’s surprisingly effective bison-calling horn, some cleverly deployed flash powder, and a generous amount of glue, the Stooges dive into chaos with their signature brand of slapstick heroism. The story, written and illustrated by Sparky Moore, captures the duo’s classic antics in a Western setting, with a cover by Sparky Moore that perfectly captures the absurdity of the moment.
