Witchblade #2
Witchblade #2 (1996) delivers a chilling escalation in the series’ supernatural thriller arc, with the microwave killer’s latest victim leaving Sara reeling and hospitalized. As Jake and Jo confront the aftermath of Michael Yee’s death at Kenneth Irons’ tournament, the Triads’ revenge plot unfolds—only for Irons to manipulate the assassin through a brutal ritual that grants Nottingham immunity to the Witchblade’s power. With the blade’s true nature still a mystery, Sara returns from the hospital determined to reclaim it, hoping to undo the past—but her attempt to resurrect Michael ends in failure. Michael Turner’s striking art, co-penciled with D-Tron on the cover, brings the series’ dark intensity to life, making this a pivotal early chapter in the Witchblade saga.
