Logan is captured by the Weapon X program and experimented on in order to turn him into a controllable agent. His skeleton is laced with adamantium and his mind is twisted to make him compliant to programming. He proves to be a difficult subject, however, and is able to assert himself enough to eventually escape into the Canadian wilderness.
