Wonder Woman #6
This volume collects issues #31-37 of the Rebirth-era Wonder Woman series, continuing the story arc 'Children of the Gods.' Written by James Robinson with art by Carlo Pagulayan and others, the narrative follows Diana as she confronts a new threat tied to her divine lineage, while also exploring the return of the Golden Age Wonder Woman and the introduction of a long-lost twin brother. The collection delves into themes of family, legacy, and the complexities of godly heritage within the DC Universe.
In the aftermath of a brutal attack on Hercules—once Paul Jackson, now living in hiding in Oregon—Wonder Woman is drawn into a mystery when a probate lawyer reveals she’s the unexpected heir to his vast fortune. With the world still reeling from the recent defeat of Giganta, Diana must unravel the truth behind Hercules’ sudden disappearance and the strange circumstances surrounding his estate, all while a shadowy figure from Darkseid’s past watches from the edges of the world.
In "Children of the Gods Part 2," Diana of Themyscira and Steve Trevor uncover the truth behind Hercules’ death at the hands of Apokoliptan energy, then join an A.R.G.U.S. task force to confront a wave of Parademons in Paris. As suspicion turns to Grail, Diana journeys to Oregon with Blake Hooper, where she discovers a letter from Hercules revealing the existence of her long-lost twin brother, Jason—setting her on a path to find him.
In "Times Past: Grail," the enigmatic Grail flees the Justice League with baby Darkseid, driven by a mission to restore him to his true age by targeting those who are gods or children of gods on Earth—each death a step in a dark ritual to transfer their life energy. With the League fractured and time unraveling, Diana of Themyscira and her allies must confront the echoes of past tragedies, from fallen heroes to forgotten myths, as the line between salvation and vengeance blurs.
In "Children of the Gods Part 3," Diana of Themyscira and her long-lost brother Jason finally meet, their reunion marked by wary trust and shared blood. As they navigate a growing threat, Diana warns Jason that Grail is hunting all children of Zeus—putting their bond and survival in the balance.
In "Times Past: Jason," a young man raised by the fisherman Glaucus begins to uncover the truth of his origins—his divine bloodline as the son of Zeus and Hippolyta, and brother to Wonder Woman. As he trains with Hercules and grapples with his emerging powers, Jason vows to keep his identity hidden, but when Apokolips learns of his existence, the Deep Six are sent to claim him.
In "Children of the Gods Part 4," Diana of Themyscira finds herself hunted by Jason, once a trusted ally, now entangled with Grail in a dangerous scheme to capture her. With Darkseid's shadow looming and her own faith in those she loves tested, Diana must confront the truth behind the betrayal while facing the terrifying power of Giganta and the ever-watchful presence of Amanda Waller.
