About the series
In the early 1990s, Semic brought the Cimmerian barbarian to European readers with a new Conan series, running 59 issues through 1997. Anchored by the legendary scripting of Roy Thomas and the dynamic pencils of John Buscema, the title also featured striking painted covers by Earl Norem and contributions from artists like Ernie Chan. This series stands as a significant European continuation of the classic Marvel-style Conan saga, delivering sword-and-sorcery adventure with a distinctive, pulp-infused energy.
