About the series
Marvel's Fallen Angels (1987) is a short-lived but distinctive eight-issue series that spins off from the X-Men corner of the universe, written primarily by Jo Duffy. It gathers a quirky cast of young mutants—including Sunspot (Roberto Da Costa), Siryn (Theresa Cassidy), and the enigmatic Telford Porter—alongside the thief Chance, for a street-level adventure that trades school uniforms for a more roguish, globe-trotting tone. With art by Kerry Gammill, Joe Staton, and Tom Palmer, the series explores what happens when X-Men trainees strike out on their own, offering a raw, early look at characters who would later become key players in mutant lore.
