“I'll Take the High Road and I'll Take the Low Road and I'll Get to Sunspot Before Me”

In "I'll Take the High Road and I'll Take the Low Road and I'll Get to Sunspot Before Me," Jo Duffy and artists Kerry Gammill, Tom Palmer, and Petra Scotese deliver a sharp, character-driven turn in the Fallen Angels series, spotlighting Bobby’s desperate attempt to protect Chance when his powers fail—only to be left stranded with Warlock in a strange, empty warehouse. As the pair grapple with the harsh realities of life on the streets, Siryn and Madrox catch up with Sunspot and Warlock just as they’re drawn into the mysterious fold of the Fallen Angels, a twist that sends Siryn stumbling into a quiet restaurant with no sign of mutants at all.

Bobby has run away and is trying to save Chance from a gang of knife wielding thugs when his powers blink off. Chance ditches him and runs through a doorway opened by Ariel. Warlock arrives to help his friend but the door now leads to an abandoned warehouse. They decide to be super villains but find that life on the streets is not easy. Siryn and Madrox catch up with Sunspot and Warlock just as the pair are being invited to join the Fallen Angels. The Fallen Angels run through a door opened by Ariel but, when Siryn follows, she finds a restaurant full of diners with no mutants in sight.
