David Pepose
David Pepose is an American comic book writer best known for his work on *Space Ghost*, *Scout's Honor*, and *Spencer & Locke*. He was born in the United States and began his career as a crime reporter before transitioning to comics. His debut series, *Spencer & Locke*, a gritty reimagining of the classic comic strip *Calvin and Hobbes* as a noir crime drama, earned multiple Ringo Award nominations. Pepose won the Ringo Award in 2021 for Best Single Issue for his self-published series *The O.Z.*, a dark fantasy take on *The Wizard of Oz*.
Pepose has written for both Marvel Comics and independent publishers. His Marvel credits include runs on *Punisher*, *Fantastic Four*, *Savage Avengers*, and the *Hulk Annual*. He has also written for the character *Space Ghost* and co-created the series *Scout's Honor* with artist Luca Casalanguida.
