Tad Williams
Tad Williams was born Robert Paul Williams on March 14, 1957, in the United States. He is best known as a bestselling fantasy and science fiction novelist, with over 17 million copies of his works in print, including the *Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn* and *Otherland* series. His path into comics came later, with a six-issue DC Comics miniseries called *The Next* in 1997. He also wrote an eight-issue run on *Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis* from issue #50 to #57, and contributed to the *Helmet of Fate* one-shot *Ibis the Invincible* and the miniseries *Mirrorworld: Rain*. His comic work is characterized by the same rich worldbuilding found in his prose. With his wife, Deborah Beale, he co-writes the young-adult *Ordinary Farm Adventures* series. Williams continues to write, concluding his *The Last King of Osten Ard* series with *The Navigator's Children* in 2024.
