With Andy Smith’s inks, Sno Cone’s colors, and Rob Leigh’s letters enhancing the drama, the issue builds on the psychological stakes as Dreamer uses her own pain to disrupt Canary’s control—just as Timber Wolf arrives, tracking Devil by scent to turn the tide. Kevin Nowlan’s cover captures the moment’s intensity, a striking image of the Legion’s peril in motion.

Canary explains to Dreamer that Devil intends to use her to shut down all technology on Legion World, but Dreamer puts a crack in Canary's faith in Devil when she points out that Canary would not survive such an attack. After Devil returns and tries to force Dreamer to give her access codes to Legion World, Dreamer causes herself great pain, sending mental feedback into Canary, and making her lose her grip on Metropolis. Timber Wolf, having tracked Devil by her scent, arrives in time to save Dreamer and to put Devil out of commission.
