Tales to Astonish #79
In "When Rises the Behemoth," Namor finds himself caught between the military and a mind-controlled trap as the Puppet Master manipulates him during a bank robbery. Seeking refuge in the Hudson River, he's drawn into a deeper conflict when Lady Dorma arrives to warn him of the awakened Behemoth—now under Krang's command. With Stan Lee's storytelling and Adam Austin's art bringing the clash to life, this 1966 Marvel classic sees Namor reclaim his will and return to Atlantis, while Krang sets his sights on a new puppet. The cover by Jack Kirby and Bill Everett captures the tension with a striking, dynamic image.
