Catalog Note The April 1916 issue of The Argosy contains a full book-length novel, "A Mystery of Roscoe Conkling Park" by Seward W. Hopkins, following protagonist George Greenland's impending marriage to Nancy Raymond. The narrative opens with Greenland and friend Kenneth Yale observing the arrival of the striking Beverly Wayne, a college friend of the bride-to-be. Wayne, described as an eccentric, independent young woman with distinctive auburn hair and violet eyes, arrives unannounced for the morning wedding. The story centers on her mysterious presence and the romantic complications her arrival introduces. The issue also includes three multi-part serials: "The Heir to Three Millions" by Joseph Ivers Lawrence, "Fools of Sacrifice" by Richard Duffy, and part three of a serial by Lawrence Perry, plus seven short stories in mystery and adventure genres.
